Track your favorite columns
The Inside Scoop is a great way to keep informed and up to date on what your favorite columnists are doing. Getting the Inside Scoop on a user is as easy as adding them to your favorites list. Once you have added a columnist to your favorites list all new articles, comments and other various information will be sent directly to your column for your convenience.
Awards
There are seven types of awards available to be earned as a Freedoms Press columnist. Awards help distinguish the good and the not so good. As members build their column and watch it grow, various awards can be earned, which help columns gain ranks and become well known. These awards are based upon the readers grades and overall quality of a column.
Eye Notice: This award is the first award that can be obtained. This award shows that people are starting to recognize your work.
Buzzworthy: The Buzzworthy award is given to columns that have started to produce a steady flow of quality articles.
Fan Favorite: Columns which have the Fan Favorite award are ones to keep a eye on. This award shows that a column is getting good reviews along with maintaining a fair amount of loyal readers.
Popular Column: This award is similar to the Fan Favorite award. The main difference is that more people are starting to keep note of your column and visit it on a daily basis.
Elite Writer: Given to columns that produce high quality content, with a unique writing style.
FP Certified: Columns with this award are personally recommended by Freedoms Press as must read columns.
Hall of Fame: This is the final award a column can receive. Once this award is obtained the column will forever be known as one of the best columns ever.
Column stats
Column stats are a great way to show your readers various information about your column. Posted stats include your overall column grade, the number of articles you have writin, where you rank as a Freedoms Press columnist, along with how many favorites and fans you have obtained over the coarse of your columns life.
Service links
Unlike most blogging communities we feel the need to provide you with essential tools to help you get your column noticed. This is where service links come in. Service links enable you to share your articles outside the Freedoms Press community. You'll find these links located below each of your articles, which allow you to post your articles on site like Digg, Facebook and Reddit just to name a few.
Leave comments and feedback
There are two kinds of feedback (comments) found in Freedoms Press. The first type can be found below published articles, allowing users to comment about the article in question. The second can be found in columns where users can leave comments to the columnist about his or her work.
