Sustenance for the Soul
There have been many chapters in my life that included such tremendous internal tension and turmoil that I could find solace in nothing on Earth. Perhaps this may resonate inside of you. Sometimes we become so engrossed in our general daily activities - our main sources of stress - we neglect that which distinguishes us from every other living entity on Earth: our souls. We nourish our minds, we nourish our bodies, but we forget to tend to our souls. In fact, in hindsight, I think there were many times in my life when I experienced a joyfulness or happiness drought because my soul was in a state of deprivation desperately in need of an otherworldly solution. For those of you who could benefit from some spiritual sustenance, I have catalogued below several scriptural passages that may give your soul a jumpstart. Should you be interested in recommendations of books that were published for improving one's spiritual well-being, please feel free to contact me via email at any time. Likewise, should you have any recommendations for me or others, please feel free to share!

10.) Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11. It is so nice that God has a plan for me, even when I want to tear my hair out!.

I always feel joy in my heart knowing that God will never leave me or forsake me. Too bad we cannot say the same thing for mankind. I think people forget when all else fails to work that God never stops working. When times are hard always turn to YOUR God and faith to help you through and hold you down. You will NEVER be disappointed!!!!!!.
