Is Prime Minister Stephen Harper finished?

Only in America... Or so I thought. Looks like Canadian politics enjoys thick plots lines filled with tension filled drama as well. Whatever happened to quiet Canada? Well this seems to be a dark day for the Country know one hates, and knows much about, outside of North America.
For those who don't know it the Conservative party and Prime Minister Stephen Harper are on the verge of being over powered and thrown out of power. An opposition coalition is about to be formed to override the minority government in which Canadians voted in just a few months ago.
As a Canadian I was always proud of my Country and our ways. We pride ourselves as peace keepers and people who know how to get things done. But yet now my very own Country can't seem to run its self. This is a black eye for Canadian politics as it seems to come at the worst possible time... A time of economic crisis. Is this just a case of power hungry politics? Or are we really being saved from the "evil" Stephen Harper? The main problem with this issue seems to be that the other parties have formed a coalition with the Block party, who's main goal is to be independent from Canada.
For those of you who need an update here is the latest goings on of this power battle...

The Conservative Party says it will consider "all options" to prevent an opposition coalition from toppling their minority government.
Asked if the government will consider proroguing Parliament until January in an effort to stop the opposition, Environment Minister Jim Prentice yesterday said all options are on the table.
Prentice was sent out to speak on behalf of the party by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Meanwhile, a historic tri-party pact to oust the Conservative government and form a Liberal-led coalition would put six NDP seats at the federal cabinet.
Liberal Leader Stephane Dion, NDP Leader Jack Layton and Bloc Quebecois Leader Gilles Duceppe held a news conference yesterday afternoon to unveil the alliance plans they will next send to the governor general.
The Liberals and NDP signed a formal agreement to share power for at least 30 months, while the Bloc has agreed to support the alliance until June 10, 2010.
The tri-party agreement calls for a "no-surprises" approach and imposes strict rules on cabinet confidentiality and solidarity. The non-confidence vote is expected Monday.
If the government is defeated, Gov.-Gen. Michaelle Jean must decide whether to approve the coalition or to dissolve Parliament and trigger an election

Wow... I guess this is a great chance for the Block to set things up for making Quebec independent? Not to mention Jack Layton is a bum. Never trust a man with a mustache.

So the (swear word) form a coalition because they arn't happy with Harper's plan to save the economy? How is this going to help Canadians? Didn't we just vote? I guess our votes no longer matter if we elect a minority party.
what a waste of a vote
We're basically in the same position we were prior to this last election - so what the heck is the point in another? It's obvious it will end up being another minority government. I don't understand why members of parliament can't seem to make it work. Is there not a happy medium that can be reached? Isn't their main goal as our gov't leaders to make our country run to it's highest potential? How can spending hundred of thousands of dollars on another election do that???
Oh and mo_money Jack Layton is the man and his bald head and mustache are old man sexy hehe :)
