Well it's that time of year again. This has to be the most exciting time for sports. MLB is almost over, thank God. NHL will soon begin, NCAA football is now into it's second week and best of all the NFL season has begun. If your like me and have decided to spend your Sunday afternoons on the couch, rather then with God, then this is for you.

Here's my overview of the week one match-ups.

Bengals VS Ravens

Well if this year is any reflection upon last years season, both teams will struggle. I believe neither team has improved much. A new head coach for Baltimore won't do anything to save their pathetic offense, or lack there of. How could a team that has the 6th best defense do so poorly? I can't believe I'm even talking about this match up. Bengals (Bungles) win because they can score, bottom line.

Final score: 24 - 13 Bengals

Jets VS Dolphins

Well I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Favre won't be the God send Jets fans are hoping for. Normally this match up wouldn't catch my attention but the drama behind it will make this game, must see TV. For those not familiar with NFL football, the Jets signed Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Farve while in turn dropping Chad what's his name Pennington. Now what makes this interesting is that Pennington is not the starting quarterback for the Dolphins. I'm sure he's love to stick to his old team in week one but I don't see it happening with a revamped Dolphins team.

Final score: 17 - 6 Jets-Jets-Jets

Chiefs VS Patriots

Hmmm... no need to talk about this game.

Final score: To much to not enough. Pats

Texans VS Steelers

Though to call. The Texans are much improved and their run defense will give the Steelers running game trouble. I believe we better get ready for a low scoring game. This game screams ball control. BORING!

Final score: 20 - 17 OT Texans

Lions VS Falcons

Well... both teams suck. This will be a game of mistakes and poor blocking.

Final score: 28 - 16 Lions

Seahawks VS Bills

My first thought was a close typical Buffalo Bills style game. You know the one where they blow the lead in the final minutes of the 4th quarter? However this time will be different. The Seahawks have many injuries and we all know how well they do on the road. Meanwhile the Bills are much improved.

Final score: 24 - 17 Bills

Bucs VS Saints

This is a grinders match. I think the Saints will play into the Bucs style. I know alot of people have the Saints as a playoff team and semi contender, but I don't see it. If Garcia doesn't turn the ball over the Saints will be in tough.

Final score: 34 - 27 Bucs

Rams VS Eagles

Another boring game I won't be watching.

Final score: 27 - 20 Eagles

Cowboys VS Browns

Disspite what people say, the Browns still suck. 

Final score 34 - 10 Cowboys

Panthers VS Chargers

Well the only reason I'll watch this game, is to wait until Shawn the Juice boy blows out his knee and has his career come to a end. What a dumb guy. As far as the game goes, no Steve "I punch my teammates in the face" Smith equals no win.

Final score: 30 - 14 Chargers

Cardinals VS 49ers

BORING! BORING BORING!

Final score: 17 - 9 Cardinals

Bears VS Colts

Well this will be a previous Super bowl rematch with the same result. Kyle Orton will get the start and the Bears will turn the ball over a lot. Manning won't be 100%, but he won't need to put up much.

Final score: 28 - 10 Colts

    Well folks I won't be adding the Monday night double header just yet, as I'd like to go more in depth with those games. Also on a side note, depending on how good or bad my picks are I will hopefully do this each week.

    If anyone out there thinks they can pick better games, I want to see it. And Yes this might be a challenge.
