So summer is halfway over, or halfway started, however you think about it. What was accomplished you ask? Well afar from the parties and numerous drinking binges on the weekends and countless hours put into work, some friendships were made, some were lost and some were put on the back burner for awhile.
Lets talk about the friendships that were lost. Its a sad thing to say but sometimes you cant but help give up. Or you get to that point of..why try anymore? Will it change? No.Will it make a difference? No. Do I matter? No matter how much you wish things could go back to the same, and that change could somehow mold itself into that great friendship, we are left with, why bother? Instead these moments and people whom come into our lives,we should be very grateful for and happy that we had the chance to meet and learn from. When we all get old and go down memory lane, these are the people that should be your fondest memories. And they will be.No matter how it turned out, whos fault it was, what, when or where, none of this will register in your mind. You'll be left with the thought that..
...." these people were the best damn thing that happened to me, they were there in my prime years, I lost them, I loved them, we had great memories that were made and sad that no more can be made"...
The friendships that are put on the back burner for awhile are on the verge of: friendships that were lost and the friendship that were made. Its somewhere inbetween and for most its a shady area, but again it causes you to wish, dream, hope that one day everything will be okay. Sometimes you have to let friends go, and I once was told that " sometimes you have to let the good ones go and if they are your true friend, they will always come back." My heart finally let them go and Im sitting, waiting, hoping, that one day that shooting star will make my wish come true.
Finally the friendships that were made. Its a summer to remember, thats for sure. In such a short period of time, its unspeakable of how close two people can get and become friends. Its new terriotory even for me, but not all friends are the same. There are different characters, different stories, new beginnings, new hopes. Theres one in particular that has to have some recognition. Shes a woman who shows immense strengh, courage, and when you look into her eyes, all shes looking for is to be loved. Whoever said that looking on the brighter side of things is the best, well this woman knows and shows it. Its in her heart, her smile, and how she carries herself around people. Her voice is never silent, shes the epitomy of independence, and boldness. Although I have only met her and became her friend just a little while ago, theres only one word for her, fabolous.
So I leave you with this, no matter if your in the process of losing a friend, lost a friend or gaining a friend, just remember that you were meant to meet these people and however long you have them for, cherish them, love them, forgive them but never forget them. They will always be left in your heart, your mind and in your dreams.
I love you all, sorry for giving up, sorry for caring for the ones I let go.
In the end, thanks for staying by my side.
xoxo.

I just wanted to say that I
I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this, I am living these moments. Summer hit its end, and with it...parts of my life, including people have come to their demise, but the death of one thing is the beginning of another. A new season starts, and with it I look forward to the people and memories that are to come.
Great Column,
Liz.
