Best rock albums of the lesser known
Through out time history has always seemed to repeat itself. With good always comes evil, it's the balence of nature. In order to truely appreciate the good, you must frist experience the bad. Now same thing can be said for music. How many time have turned on the radio and that song you can't stand seems to always be playing? Well fear no more, I have the cure you've been looking for.
This is a list of the top five rock albums everyone should own. Even you grandma. I should also note that this isn't you normal run of the mill, top whatever list. This is the list that is lesser known, and doesn't fit the popular music catergory. This is the official, "I knew those guys before they big, but now I don't like them anymore because they changed their sound," top five list. So let's begin, in no particular order...
- Soundgarden (Badmotorfinger) A classic twelve track album that set Soundgarden into superstar status. This album is Soundgarden at their best. Enough said...
- Motherlovebone (self titled) This was their first and last album. The band consisted of some of Seattle's finest. Lead singer Andrew Wood died of a heroin overdose that caused the band to break up and form some of the most notable bands from the Seattle grunge scene. (Most notable are Pearl Jam).
- Sublime (40oz to Freedom) Ok maybe it's a popular album now but Sublime only really became popular after Brad Nowell's untimely death.
- The Dandy Warhols (Come Down) Hey for a bunch of junkies these guys can really rock out. This album was really their only commercial success.
- Meat Puppets (Too high to die) Well to be honest, this is the only Meat Puppets album I've ever heard that didn't suck. Most Nirvana fans will know of these guys, as Nirvana covered a few Meat Puppet tunes during their Unplugged in New York sessions.
