Picture this if you will. A warm summer day and the sun is shinning from the west. A cool breeze passes by a young child's face. But this child is not like the kids we see. This child is at work. Imagine a five year old sifting through a city dump looking for scrap metal or anything else of value. Why does this child do this you ask? To survive. No this isn't another version of those Sunday morning infomercials. This is reality, the reality in which most of use ignore. Sure out of sight is out of mind, after all thats human nature. But why is it that we (society) keep sending money over and over, yet the problem remains?

Remember Live Aid? Millions had been raised yet the problem is still there. Why is this still happening in our society? Why do people always seem to say charity starts in the community? Is our community not world wide? After all history always repeats and eventually those problems could come to the western world. What then?

I for one am a believer that problems can't be solved with money alone. Money is merely a resource to provide a individual with opportunity. The opportunity to better ones self. If a community has a dry spell and no crops are yielded, what can we do? Send them money or food to last them the year, or provide them with resources to help them find alternatives.

In a day in age with all this leading edge technology I find hard to believe we can't solve the simplest, and most fundamental problems. And when all is said won't this save our own government money sent on foreign aid?

Hey buddy! Can you spare a dime?

I for one choose not to help. Sounds cold but the whole not for profit thing seems to be a scam in my eyes. I heard that live aid actually had to pay alot of performers to actually play. With what money? I bet it was donations. After all not for profit organizations do have to cover their operating costs.

Mo know poor people

Sorry dude but you shouldn't question the act of kindness. No profit charities are great. So what if some of your donations go to someones pay check. Give, give, give!

I think your missing the

I think your missing the point Mo_Money... and it's Bo knows, not Mo knows.....
